Registering for Adult Training

• Adult attending training must pre-resister by completing a Training Registration Form (doc).

• Unless otherwise specified, all Council trainings require pre-registration to attend.  Only those registered one week in advance of a training will be notified of cancellations, changes or other important information and sent a Training Confirmation.

• Registration can be mailed in at any time.

• A waiting list will be maintained for all trainings that have reached capacity.

• Payment for all trainings is due at the time of registration to ensure your spot.

Fees

All fees for Girl Scout trainings must be paid in advance.  Checks are to be made payable to Girl Scouts Golden Valley Council (GSGVC).

Special Assistance is available for trainings for those who qualify.
Applications should be submitted no later than one month prior to the date of the event.

Cancellations

If you are unable to attend a training after you have registered and been placed, please call the Council and ask to speak with the Adult Development Specialist.  In some cases, refunds will not be available because materials and/or food supplies will have been purchased in advance.  Follow Council refund procedures.  Every effort will be made to hold trainings on the scheduled dates.  You will be notified one week prior to the scheduled date if there are any changes, or a minimum number of participants are not registered.  Only those individuals registered for the training will be notified of changes, cancellations or important information.

Refund Procedures

The following procedures apply to all council-sponsored events.

Each event requires a $5.00 non-refundable deposit per girl registration. 

100% of the fee is refunded for GSGVC cancellations only. The $5.00 deposit is retained and the balance of the fees are refunded only under the following circumstances:

• A participant withdraws, in writing, 10 or more days prior to he event.

• The participant withdraws due to illness, injury or an immediately family emergency (a physicians letter must accompany the written refund request).
