STUDIO 2B is the new direction of Girl Scouting for girls from 11-17 years of age.  Girls and volunteers have requested a fun, dynamic, and contemporary way to experience Girl Scouting. Traveling through cyberspace can be fun, but like any trip you take you have to "Be Prepared" for unforeseen things. So, read this before you go any further. Then print this page out and discuss it with your parent or guardian. I will not give out personal information such as my address, telephone number, parents'/guardians' work address/telephone number, or the name and location of my school without my parents'/guardians' permission. I will tell an adult right away if I come across any information that makes me feel uncomfortable. I will never agree to get together with someone I "meet" online without first checking with my parents/guardians. If my parents/guardians agree to the meeting, I will be sure that it is in a public place and bring my parent or guardian along. I will never send a person my picture or anything else without first checking with my parents/guardians. I will not respond to any messages that are mean or in any way make me feel uncomfortable. It is not my fault if I get a message like that. If I do I will tell my parents/guardians right away so that they can contact the online service. I will talk with my parents/guardians so that we can set up rules for going online. We will decide upon the time of day that I can be online, the length of time I can be online, and appropriate areas for me to visit. I will not access other areas or break these rules without their permission. STUDIO 2B es una nueva forma para que las jovencitas de 11 a 17 años participen en las Girl Scouts y gocen de esa experiencia. Es un lugar donde estas adolescentes pueden ser ellas mismas sin presiones y donde tienen la oportunidad de dar y recibir consejos.

STUDIO 2B es ideal para las niñas en su vida porque…

Las niñas de 11 a 17 años tienen la mente muy ocupada y viven muy atareadas. En STUDIO 2B, hay muchas actividades en las cuales las jovencitas pueden participar.
En STUDIO 2B, las jovencitas tienen la oportunidad de dar y recibir consejos a medida que avanzan en sus años de adolescencia.
Con el asesoramiento de adultas, las niñas pueden confrontar las tensiones y los retos en sus vidas.
También tienen la oportunidad de divertirse, de probar actividades nuevas, emprender aventuras y aprender a fijar metas.
¿Como comenzó STUDIO 2B?

La creación de STUDIO 2B se basó en los resultados del estudio Nuevas trayectorias para las niñas de 11 a 17 años. En ese estudio se encontró información sobre los tipos de actividades educativas que les interesan a las niñas cuando entran en la etapa de la adolescencia. Se comprobó que las jovencitas quieren participan en estas actividades, pero de una manera flexible. Quieren combinar una variedad de elementos para crear sus propias experiencias. A veces, lo que desean es pasar un rato charlando y relacionándose con otras jovencitas y mentores en un ambiente seguro.
